I have a 1995 dodge dakota. I need to replace driver side door. Need to know how to take door off properly. Need diagram or something. HELP.

HARMONIC BALANCER which is on the very frount of the crank shaft.

I was surprised to find Dodge still using a distributor on this engine.
The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and the cylinders on the driver side are 1-3-5-7.

Find yourself wiring diagrams an test the electrical circuits . Do you know how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? How to take the door panels off an check power an ground circuits to the switches ? If not , your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop. You probably don't know what serial data network is ?
The B+ power for the door locks & power windows comes from a circuit breaker ,not a fuse . Circuit breakers very really fail .
You probably have broken wire inside the rubber flex boot from the body to the driver door .

Headlight switches tend to over heat and melt wiring harness replace switch and harness should help with this problem if you can extend the harness will help in the future.

The Autozone picture must be from an older Dakota 3.9L. My Dakota 3.9L belt routing is as shown. To remove the belt put a wrench on the tensioner pulley fastener (fastener in center of pulley) and rotate it clockwise. This will pivot the tensioner loosening the belt, Remove the old belt and install new one per the routing. Check to make sure the belt is sitting properly in all pulleys

fuse box may be in the engine compartment, passenger side lift up the cover of the box and there will be a diagram of what each one controls. At least that is how it is on the 2004. hope this helps
