Hi.... I've seen this problem so many times, the fault lies within the multi position switch. My advice is to purchase a new switch as trying to repair one is futile

2000 larado won't shift from 2nd to 3rd

Hello. It seems your vehicle's transmission has to be rebuilt/replaced. Any automatic transmission that won't 'shift' from 1st gear into 2nd or 3rd gear has a 'worn' slave cylinder that 'slides' gears one way or another. 1st gear works yet 2nd and 3rd don't. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

I have a 01 suzuki grand vitara w/automatic transmission it has trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd gear shifts kinda hard. on start up in mornings sometimes will disengages out of gear altogether

A/T tranny's are complex and expensive devices.
I bet , its never been serviced, right?
why not do a full flush with new filter, if the filter (inside) is clogged
only hot ATF flows, easy. and causes low pump pressures.

do not go to Jiphphy lube or Quick lube joints, as they do bad work. (half arsed work)
go to a real shop with real ASE tech that know how to
service (fully) any automatic. (yes, they drop the pan)

I have a 2000 vitara and can only get the heater to work on defrost. The light that is in it is orange. If I push the other buttons they will turn green but still will not go to the selected setting. I am...

This is due to a stuck flap in the heater core housing where the vents are. Either vent flap is stuck or the motor that moves it is bad. You can test the power to the motor with a voltmeter to see if you are getting voltage

I have a 1995 ford f150 5 speed transmission manual and 1st and 2nd use to work but now don't ? what could i chek for?

Hi:
Your transmission has 3 shift rails...
1st - 2nd
3rd -4th
5th- Reverse

If your 1st and 2nd don't work , you have an internal transmission problem, such as a syncronizer, or similar fail... There is not much you can fix, without removeing the transmission.

1997 Suzuki vitara heater not working only blowing cold air

Hi, I had this problem in my 2000 Suzuki vitara. Turns out it was an easy fix - something had disconnected under the passenger side dashboard (left side) - used tape to keep it together. I've found out that it can disconnect again if you shift the hot/cold lever from one side to the other too quickly. Sorry I don't know the technical parts behind the solution but at least it is a cheap and easy fix!
