I have an '02 dodge intrepid with a flickering light problem, and i mean problem, if it lights up it flickers. I have disconnected and cleaned all the ground wires, replaced the battery and the alternator, replaced the headlight switch, and checked all relays and fuses. At this point I am not sure where to go. I would greatly appriciate any help you could give me. Thank You, Stephen

When you tell us "flickering lights", I'm assuming that you are talking about turn signal or hazard lights flashers.

Also, I suggtes check and download in the Dodge-Intrepid-Owners-Manual (page 201 and next for fuse and relay locations).

Hope helps.

2000 Dodge Intrepid, when I turn on the car the lights flicker but it won't turn over. no clicking sound. The cd player starts making noises.

It sounds like the battery is flat, this could be because the alternator has not charged it or something has drained the battery or the battery is faulty! What lights are flickering? We're any dash lights on prior to you not being able to start the car?

I think you might want to check your oil pump if not your oil pressure sensor.

2001 intrepid first problem oil light flickers when gas is accelerated. drove on freeway accelerated gas to catch speed and had to come up once came up it cut off on me and would not start back up. just...

the flickering oil light is a common problem with the 2.7 engine. as long as the oil level is full and oil is changed regularly, and the light just flickers and doesnt stay on , shouldnt be a problem, or get the oil sending unit changed. the second problem car stallings sounds like either cam or crank position sensor. does the engine light come on. if so the code should tell you.

Lights flicker

Have any of you guys checked the battery to see if it is charged enough and holding a charge. To do this check you need to use a voltage tester and the reading should be around 12.4 volts. If not make sure the battery is full with distilled water and then charge the battery.

Next you need to immediatly check to see if the alternator is charging the system adequately. If not replace it before you kill the battery again.

Also clean the terminals on the battery and on the connectors even if they don't look like they need it.

If the battery still dies you may need to replace the battery because it lost its ability to keep an adequate charge.
