What actions to take with code 25

I have the check engine and track light on and checked the code - was #25 "Air-Fuel" Ratio Lean Malfunction". Cleared code twice and came back on within 75 miles. Runs as great as others. Not sure what needs to be corrected?

I get the same malfunction code. The trac light isn't on however. The car runs good and I haven't noticed anything wrong while driving.
    How do I fix this?

2003 ford explorer 4.6 has engine code p2195

I don't know what you want or how you want to move forward with this issue. Give me an idea how you want to proceed and what additional diagnostic information you want. I am forwarding code information and possible causes. Let me know if you need anything else. Good Luck. Potential causes of a P2195 code include: Oxygen (O2) or A/F ratio sensor or sensor heater malfunction Open or short in O2 sensor circuit (wiring, harness) Fuel pressure or fuel injector problem Faulty PCM Intake air or engine vacuum leaks Faulty fuel injector(s) Fuel pressure too high or too low PCV system leak/fault A/F sensor relay faulty MAF sensor malfunction ECT sensor malfunction Fuel pressure too low Fuel leak Air suction in air intake system

P2195 is an OBD-II generic code for the engine control module (ECM) detecting the O2 sensor signal stuck lean for bank 1 sensor 1. The engine has tried to lean out a rich condition and failed.
Potential causes of a P2195 code include:
-Oxygen (O2) or A/F ratio sensor or sensor heater malfunction
-Open or short in O2 sensor circuit (wiring, harness)
-Fuel pressure or fuel injector problem
-Faulty PCM Intake air or engine vacuum leaks
-Faulty fuel injector(s)
-Fuel pressure too high or too low
-PCV system leak/fault
-A/F sensor relay faulty
-MAF sensor malfunction
-ECT sensor malfunction
-Fuel pressure too low
-Fuel leak Air suction in air intake system

Code P0171

P0171 - System Too Lean Bank 1 Share
1 ' Add Comment Possible causes
- Intake air leaks
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Lack of fuel
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection
What does this mean? Tech notes
If the P0171 is combined with the P0174 code, it's very likely that the problem is caused by an intake leak. If there are no intake leaks, the next step is to replaced the air filter and clean the air flow meter. If the problem persist the front oxygen (O2) sensor may need to be replaced.
What does this mean? When is the code detected?
- Fuel injection system does not operate properly.
- The amount of mixture ratio compensation is too small. (The mixture ratio is too lean.)
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Excessive Fuel Consumption
P0171 Description
With the Air/Fuel Mixture Ratio Self-Learning Control, the actual mixture ratio can be brought closely to the theoretical mixture ratio based on the mixture ratio feedback signal from the heated oxygen sensors 1. The Engine Control Module (ECM) calculates the necessary compensation to correct the offset between the actual and the theoretical ratios.
In case the amount of the compensation value is extremely large (The actual mixture ratio is too lean.), the ECM judges the condition as the fuel injection system malfunction and light up the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) (2 trip detection logic).

Air sensor check engine light

Ok as a guess that you have a SUV and you have different air faults. if you are a DYI'er go to an auto parts store and get an error code tool. Harbor freight for $30-50. Hook it to the car and find out which sensor is it calling for. Note, you can reset the check engine light on most tools that are not the cheapest.

I have a code reader and the code is P0171 P0174 System too lean. what makes the system too lean?

P0171 - Fuel Injection System Too Lean Bank 1
Possible Causes:
- Intake air leaks
- Front Heated oxygen sensor may be faulty
- Injectors may be faulty
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Lack of fuel
- Mass air flow sensor may be faulty
- Incorrect PCV hose connection

P0174 - Fuel Injection System Too Lean Bank 2
Possible Causes:
- Intake air leaks
- Front Heated oxygen sensor may be faulty
- Injectors may be faulty
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Lack of fuel
- Mass air flow sensor may be faulty
- Incorrect PCV hose connection

What Causes These Codes: Fuel injection system does not operate properly. The amount of mixture ratio compensation is too large. (The mixture ratio is too rich.) The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the engine Air/Fuel mixture ratio, the actual mixture ratio can be brought closely to the theoretical mixture ratio based on the mixture ratio feedback signal from the heated oxygen sensors 1. The PCM calculates the necessary compensation to correct the offset between the actual and the theoretical ratios.
