I just replaced the battery on my car and it still doesnt start the lights come on but it doesnt make any noise what should i try first?

Have you had the battery itself tested? Features like the lights and power windows do not use a lot of battery power. A starter motor will use at least 9 volts on a 12 volt battery. Batteries usually only last about 5 to 8 years before they start to fail, less if you have 'start-stop' fitted to your vehicle.

HAVE YOU TRIED TO JUMP START IT? DOES IT MAKE ANY NOISE AT ALL WHEN TRYING TO START IT? IF YOU HAVE AN OLD BATTERY, I WOULD START THERE FIRST. I WOULD TRY TO JUMP START IT FIRST. IF THAT DOESNT WORK, TAKE THE BATTERY OUT TO AUTOZONE AND THEY WILL TESTY IT FOR FREE

I would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch.

If your battery cables are clean and tight, your starter solenoid is probably getting ready to quit on you... Replace the starter assembly.

Did you charge the battery after you relpaced alternator? Assuming that alternator was the problem in the first place.

Clean battery cables and battery post. If that doesn't fix it replace starter.

Do the dash lights come on ? They should come on when the key is turned to the on position. If nothing happens check the engine relay. It is not too expensive to replace if you really want to eliminate that as the problem. Check all wires going to the starter and make sure it is wired correctly.

Sounds like the starter.
