not easy to just disable because it is part of the engine control system and will not start if the security system module is disconnected or tampered with but the most likeley cause is one of the door latches faulty or wiring around the trunk hinge broken/opencircuit the security system thinks a door or the trunk is open. the clue to help is check the dash warning saying door or trunk open when sat inside with ignition on and all doors etc. closed or even the hood switch
central locking unit may have a fault. could just be a dry joint on the board. they usually good boxes. but have seen them do this in the past. also can be a faulty fuse vibration can crack the fuse or fuse over time. so shoulld check this to.
The valet button is in the center console. You can also use the manual key (the black one) in the back key holder (located in the XJ6 label on the trunk), that will overide the electrical lock and you can open manually.
in the boot(trunk in n america) lift out the ply cover on the spare wheel, and the wheel, between the wheel and the rear is a ply and steel filler panel, held in by screwa, unscrew these and the pump (s) is under there.
