2006 VW Beetle convertible with electrical issues. The left front headlight and rear tailight work only occasionally, drivers side window works slowly and convertible top works very slowly. At times banging on the right from fender near the headlight will cause it to work. Apparently a short somewhere on left hand side. Any idea where to start looking.

That happened to me. I tried to re-insert the window into the track but it was impossible. The dealer ordered some clips and I think I paid about $50 to have it fixed.

Need toknow how to gain acces to change the front left turn signal bulb on my 2004 VW Convertible.

If your Beetle is a "Turbo S", the whole front clip (bumper facia) has to come off.

For all other Beetle models:
Remove the screw cap at the rear of the front turn/marker lense.
Remove the screw
Pull the lamp assembly forward
Disconnect the electrical connector
Twist the lamp socket to remove it from the lamp assembly
Remove the bulb
Reverse procedure to install

Replacing 2006 VW Beetle headlight How do you do

This is based on my 2001 Beetle, so hopefully they didn't make it any more complicated by the 2006 model year.

Open the hood and look at the inside of the headlight housing. Going from the back of the housing toward the front, there's a metal clip, then a plastic lever, then a little rectangular button with dots on it. These are all right next to each other. Pop off the metal clip, press down on the little rectangular button, then pull up on the plastic lever. It's kind of like a childproof pill bottle cap, I guess. Once you've done all those maneuvers, the headlight housing should slide out the front. Then you can unplug the wires and replace the whole unit, or open up the unit and replace just the bulb.

Since you're working on the driver's side, you'll also have the added joy of trying to work around the battery compartment. You may have to take the battery cover off to get enough room.

Condensation on the inside of the windows

common problems to all beetles, its common to all old rubber seals eventrually you will need to replace front and the rear rubber seal, they do get old deteriate over times, they are pain to do it yourself, most body shop can replace the seal for you for little to nonthing. seal are also cheap. there's really no electrical straight below the rear window that any moister can damage. before you make that purchase, just make sure all the turn single, brakes and headlight working properly, and the floor pan on both side is not rusted.
