Hi , car starts if fuel is sprayed in intake....the fuel pump wrks fine.....there is plenty of fuel at the rail inlet.....I disconnected it at the rail and it pumped lots of fuel.......... gerry

Actualy There Is Two Filters One Is In The Back Of The Fuel Injection Rail Or Kind Of Back Side Of Engine And The Other Is In The Fuel Line

the brain is not sending the proper fuel pressure codes to the fuel rail to evenly distribute the fuel to the intake and fuel rail. perform a fuel pressure test check on it ok? also run a diagnostic scan on it and see what codes come out.
It is your fuel pump it has to put out at least 30psi at the fuel rail. Regardless of how much gas you think its getting its not enough. Replace the fuel pump.
