It's located on the front cover of your audio manual, 4 digit number. If you do not have the manual, call Audi USA and give them your VIN and verify ownership of vehicle and they will give you the 4 digit code

Need vin number and 14digit id of the radio.the radio must be the cars original fitted...if not u have to visit ur local audi dealer to provide u with the new code....

The chassis number is usually the last 6 on the VIN, it is also located on a data plate inside the drivers door in most cases, on a data plate under the hood riveted on the body. The engine number is usually pressed into the block itself under the intake manifold. You can get this from the VIN as well as it is usually the series of numbers at the end with no letters in it. If your talking about the engine type code you can get that from the VIN as well but you have to take two 2 digit code from the VIN and reference that to get the actual type that was installed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for your Audi radio from the car manufacturer, or from an Audi dealer!

The sequence of programming for Audi radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
3. By the #1 key you will set up the first safe code digit.
4. By the #2 key you will set up the second safe code digit.
5. By the #3 key you will set up the third safe code digit.
6. By the #4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!

Radio lock out codes are security related and where supplied with the original paper work when the car was delivered to the original owner to discourage theft, so they are not published on the web, if they were what would be the point? Any thief could get the code after stealing your radio.

Contact the dealer for instructions and what info u need to get your cars unique radio code. The dealer will require the serial number off the radio and proof of ownership of the car it came from.

If you have looked through all of your paperwork and can not find the code.

Sadly you must take the car to the Dealer. They will need the VIN off the vehicle and will also pull out the radio for the serial number.
You will be charged.

Put this code in a safe place.

Call a BMW Audi, or Jaguar dealer, and give them your vin number they will give you the code, if they want you to bring it in ask them how much they will charge it may be cheaper to get an after market radio and have it installed

The only way to get this code is to either have it in the owners manual or go to the dealer.  The dealer has to get online using the factory scan tool and put in the VIN and radio serial number to generate a radio code via the Audi Server.  

try another dealer. maybe try to get ahold of one of the techs at lunch time. this info should be free to the car owner, just be ready to supply the title to the car for some proof. maybe try buying the parts guys lunch or coffee and donuts....this usually works for this type of problem. unfortunaley this info really is dealer only..
