I ran my jeep radio until the battery died. I jumped it and it started but the Electronic Throttle Control light came on and when I push the gas peddle nothing happens. I replaced the battery and still the light is on and nothing when I push the gas peddle. It was suggested to check the fuse and reset the electronics. Does this sound right? If so how would I go about that?

if you ran out of gas this will not cause a battery to go dead. you may have a charging problem causing the car to run only off of the battery voltage until the battery was too low to run the ignition system and died.
My guess would be for some reason the idle air control valve is not working. The computer controls idle speed by how much air enters the throttle body. Could be a problem with the memory in the computer, sometimes you have to drive the vehicle for a day or two for the computer to relearn the settings. Is the check engine light on when you are driving ?
The security has been activated. you have to turn the ignition on, but don't try to start it, let it set for ten minutes turn it off without pulling the key out and try to startit. you may have to do this three times on ten off, on ten off, on ten off, then try to start it.
Good luck Randy
This exact same thing happened to me, it can be a number of problems. You might not have enough battery charge to get the car going since the fuel pump in this car is electronic, my car did not start but when i took it to a mechanic thinking the battery was perfect because lights and all were on they jump started it and it started then immediately died, i also had a choke pull off failure, leaks in my carburetor, and the float was to heavy causing flooding. 185 dollars later and a rebuilt carburetor my car had a smooth idle and turned on immediately after turning ignition. but then to find out my alternator was bad hence the battery only having enough power for the radio and lights.so in short try jumping the car even though the battery seems good, check your carb or get it checked by a mechanic, then check if your alternator is ok. if i waited for two days without attempting to start car then trying it would start if i held the ignition and pushed the gas pedal down until it started. (see if thats the case for you) my guess is you carb, battery, and alternator.
if throttle pedal actually moves and throttle goes up and down without touching it something is making the cruise control engage when it shouldnt remove cruise control cable from throttle valve and see if that doesnt fix it if so will maybe need a new cruise modual
