I have a 2000 focus zx3. The blower fan doesn't work on any settings. I replaced the blower resistor but that didn't work. I noticed that the green light on the ac button doesn't light. Any thoughts? There is not a relay , I had same problem and found out that its called a resister . the location is behind glove box , and to the left of the blower motor housing . look for a blue box with about 6 wires plugged into it . It has one screw holding it in , that the resister it is 39.99 @ auto zone and it will have to be ordered Please leave feed
Can u help my 2001 ford focus dont have any heat n not a/c dont work completley no power i check all the fuses n relays all good n still dont work u have any idea what the problem is please help thanks.
the 2001 ford focus does not require a relay the only hting cotroling the speeds of blower motor is the a/c switch and the blower motor resistor, this information is based on a 01 focus
becasue there is zx zx3 and station wagon. the engine size might make a diference bettwen cars so please next time make sure to include engine size and if regular focus or zx or zx3 or station wagon good luckthe 2001 ford focus does not require a relay the only hting cotroling the speeds of blower motor is the a/c switch and the blower motor resistor, this information is based on a 01 focus

There is no relay, according to my info. At the blower motor, green wire is voltage, fuse protected, goes hot with key on. Black wire is ground. The blower speed control switch is part of ground circuit. There are resistors for the lower speeds. Hi speed doesn't use a resistor. If you have good voltage and ground at blower motor and no blower action, suspect the blower motor. Any motor that uses brushes, sometimes you can tap on suspect motor, and it will run intermittently. Sign of bad brushes.
You may be able to use jumper wires to blower motor connector for voltage and ground, from the battery, just to see if blower motor will run? If it won't run, suspect blower motor. If you use jumpers, use an inline fuse, just in case.
don't know about the relay, it uses a resistor pack, two of them, one hidden the console and the other at the fan itself. There is a good you-tube video on the resistor pack replacement that is the console location. It's tricky, but it faily often.
CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY.SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR YOU HAVE FAULTY BLOWER MOTOR.IF BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY OKAY.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR BUT POWER AT AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH. BLOWER MOTOR HAS POOR GROUND OR AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH IS BAD.
It's quite likely the the blower moter relay needs replaced. When this relay burns out you end up with off and high, nothing inbetween. I hope this helps.
There is a blower motor resistor located up under the passenger side dash. I believe there is actually 3 fuses that can cause problems with the blower....relays/fuses should be located in the engine compartment fuse block. They are High Blower fuse-HVAC fuse-Radio/HVAC/RFA/Cluster/etc...fuse. Hope this helps.
In the dash, attached to the blower motor (follow the nosie of the blower when turned on... this will help you locate)
The resistor is a 4" long Green Ceramic part with pins coming off it.
Most probably the blower motor resistor. If these become corroded they will cause this problem. Try this first. I'm not sure where it is located on your application.May be under the hood or under the dash.
