I just changed the plugs and wires on a 94 Chevy lumina van.after doing so it didn't idle right and skips. I thought it was maybe the spark plug wires but I can't find the order for this van. It has the distributor cap NOT THE Coil packs.

When it stops running and will not start back up, you'll need to figure out if you are lacking spark or fuel pressure to proceed with testing.

My first thought would be a vacuum leak in one of the hoses. Rubber hoses get brittle with age and even a small crack in a hose may cause surging. Happened to me in a Lumina.

You may have confused more than one run thru the firing order double check your connections maybe it's not locked onto the plug

Hi! As a first course of action please do check the spark plugs. You may have fuel flooding and a faulty spark plugs can't burn the fuel. Have the spark plugs replaced and plug wires for better fuel burning. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

bad injector

Stalling and running rich. I have seen this before on a Camero. The fuel pump was weak. Not making enough pressure. This caused the fuel injector to DRIP gas instead of SPRAY gas. This caused the fuel to flow into the cylinder in a liquid form, and it did not burn well. We put in a new fuel pump and the car came to life. Good luck.

yes if it didn`t do it before you replaced with the different plugs

low compression - worn spark plugs and wires - weak coils-clogged fuel filter.

Try replacing the throttle position sensor. I had the same problem in my truck. It would start and run for a bit but as soon as you let off of the pedal, it would die. Try it and see if it works.

you will have to take off the coil packs and move them out of the way. then go in from the top. its kinda tight but just move whatever else is in the way
