So the top of my bell housing along with all the bolts are leaking antifreeze/water what could that possibly be mind you my truck is a 1993 Chevy k 15 pickup four-wheel drive

Engine blocks have multiple freeze plugs, also called expansion plugs, installed to block the holes used to cast the metal. The plugs prevent coolant from leaking out of the block, and if coolant freezes (due to improper concentration or extreme temperatures), the expanding ice pops the plugs out to prevent block damage. Now, from the factory the plugs are usually made of steel and therefore tend to rust out over time and start to leak antifreeze. Considering there are no cooling system components inside the bell housing, it is highly likely that either one of these plugs are leaking OR something higher up on the engine is leaking down onto the bell housing, such as a head gasket or coolant hose. A cooling system pressure test would need to be performed to isolate the source of the leak. You can read more here:

I have a 97 Ford F-150 with a 4.6 v8 engine and I see coolant leaking on the passenger side

There are three plugs on each side of the block under the exhaust manifold and two in the rear of the block between the engine and transmission. If the rear freeze plug is leaking, it can be seen by antifreeze leaking out of the bottom of the transmission bell housing.

Fixing a freeze plug behind the flex plate on a v6 for a 1997 Ford Taurus

If one needs replacing, so will all the others. Easiest way is to separate the engine from the transmission and hoist the engine out of the car . That way you'll have access to all the freeze plugs

Could freeze plugs cause my Lincoln navigator 5.4l engaging leak water from back of engine and oil from the side of engine

Yes, that is a possibility. I have a 4-liter V-6 in my 1993 Ford and it had two freeze plugs that had rusted and were leaking. It was easy enough to replace them because they were on the side of the block but I learned there are two freeze plugs hidden under the transmission bell housing. It they are leaking, antifreeze would be dripping off the back of the engine.

Freeze plugs should not cause oil leaks as they are a safety device for the water jacket.

I have a 1987 2wd ford f150 and there seems to be rusty water from my rad leaking out of my transmission area???

Hi, there are freeze plugs on the back of the engine block. If one of them has rusted thru, it will leak coolant into the transmission bell housing and out the bottom. You will have to separate the transmission from the engine at least a few inches or more to repair the freeze plug. If you need instructions for doing this, please reply with your engine size and type of transmission.

Leaking water from the back of the engine . it comes out of the bell housing of transmission. where is it coming from and how do i fix it????

Water is leaking from the engine block rear freeze plugs, transmission will have to be remove to replace freeze plugs, there's two, I would also have the rear main seal replace at the same time, there there already, or if it starts to leak later, you will have to have the transmission remove again to replace seal, hope this was very helpful.
