Check to see if the blend door is moving where you change the temperature setting. I think your blend door is behind the glove box. Here are instructions for removing the actuator. Take it off, plug it back in and see if the motor rotates. Also check to see if you can rotate the blend door by hand. If you can rotate it by hand, the motor is probably broken of the gears are stripped. Let me know if you have questions.

  1. Release the stops and lower the glove compartment door.
  2. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the two screws. Rotate the blend door actuator and bracket assembly. Remove the electronic blend door actuator and bracket assembly.
  2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Sounds like your climate control is not changing the blend door over to heat. I would inspect for a broken vacum hose somewhere. The blend door in your vehicle needs all vacum hoses to not be leaking in order to switch over.

My heater in my 2004 Ford F-150 is blowing cool to warm air with the heater on as high as it will go what can I do to fix the problem

I took both hoses off my heater and flushed them and the heater out by flushing backwards both ways through the heater.Do not flush full pressure on the garden hose as you could have too much pressure. A lot of dirty stuff came out of mine and it heats real good right now.

Where would start to repair heater, blowing cool air only. 2004 ford ranger edge

Check that the cooling system is fully serviced (near full mark in coolant reservoir). With engine warmed up, feel (carefully) both heater hoses where they go into the firewall. If both are hot, there is water circulating through the heater core - possibly problem with blend door actuator. If only one hose, or neither hose is hot, you may have a blockage in the heater core. This usually means replacing the heater core, but you may be able to flush it. See this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9SIafVsqyc

Even though I let my car run for 20 minutes to warm it up, when I get in the heater is still blowing out cool air. When I start driving, it blows out warm air. But when I stop for a stop sign or light,...

check the heater hoses going from motor thru firewall to heater core / if they get warmer when motor is at 2000 rpms or higher then most likely problem is heater core stopped up / if the hoses dont change then thermostat could be stuck open ! good luck

I have a 1999 f350 deisel i cant get the heat to blow warm or hot it only comes out cool

OK, first make sure that both heater hoses are hot, if they are then there is a little moter in the dash called a blend door actuater it moves the blend door from hot to cold it can be a pain to change. now if you have one hot hose and one cold hose you need a heater core and it is a major job to replace it now here is were it gets a little tricky in the past 3 or 4 weeks we have had 2 ford trucks come in with no or little heat and both heater hoses were just luke warm and after replacing the heater core and still not getting any heat we found that the impeller on the water pump was rusted away it still moved just enough water to keep the truck from overheating but not enough to supply the heater core.. I hope this helps GOOD LUCK

Aiconditioning blows hot air Ford Focus 2004

Your valve that shuts off the hot water to your heater core is not closing.Your AC is running but it is trying to cool down 200Deg. air.May be a issue with the heater/AC contol in the dash or the mixing valve stuck open.

Heater not blowing heat just cold air also makes tapping noise

warm the engine a little and look for the 2 rubber heater hoses going into the firewall and feel to see if they aree both warm if not unhook them and using a garden hose push water through one way then the other and hook them up. Run with rad cap off untill warm to get any air out of the cooling system. If they are both warm look by the gas pedal there is a metal rod that sometimes gets kicked off that runs the blend door. (if you are hearing a flapping or ticking than mabey start with that).
