I have a 2004 dodge neon sxt and im having an electrical problem. the car keeps flashing "fuse" which should mean it has a bad fuse. the interior dome light and the power door locks dont work and they both connected to the same fuse. i checked the fuse and its not blown, i also checked all the other fuses and they are all good but the is still flashing "fuse". i also checked the fuses under the hood and they are all good. what could be the problem?
The dome tight is actually a combo fuse/light. If that light is burned out; 1 the locks won't work, and 2 the odometer will flash "FUSE" and 3 the "DOOR" warning light will stay on - try replacing the bulb. If it stays on with all the doors closed, more then likely one of the switches that are built into each of the door latches is not making the correct contact to shut off the dome light/dash light. The correct fix is to replace the defective latch. The other option is to just cut the wires that feel the switch inside the door - then the car will think that door is always closed and the lights will not come on when you open that door.
I had the same tail light and dash light problem. take apart the box behing your steering colum. unplug the cluster of wires going into the back of the steering colum. check to see if the plastic around the plug has been melted as mine severly was and many others i found in the scrap yard. replacing the whole atachment is way to much work, all i did was find out which wire powers the tailight and dash ( i believe they run off the same wire) and all i did was hard wire it into the ignition. now as soon as i start the car the tailight are always on :) this is a comon "neon" problem and very frustrati ng. if you replace the cluster its just going to overheat again and cause malfunction. hard wire seems to be the best fix. hope this helps,
My tail lights, and dash lights, and power locks won't work, and the book dosen't name what fuse to change
It is most likely the iod fuse...check fuse 13 in the box under the hood for power and the 4 fuse in the inside fuse block

yes thats possible, because sometimes like you've explainde some items are on the same fuse, but some items are on the same ground, thus causing something else to appear faulty. so its possible that all of these items are on the same ground and because a fuse or relay for the a/c is faulty, it may cause something else like the dome light and door locks not to work , very crazy with these newer cars.

i got da same issue
2005 dodge neon...the car won't start and it's flashing fuse, the remote lock and unlock won't work. It will jump start then after sitting for a while off, it works fine. Are there any extra fuses located in the car? What should i do?
