Stereo wiring harness need to the colors and what they do? for a 1997 mercury mountaineer

Use a test light if the colors are different. Real easy and basic.
red accessory :turns on and off with the key
yellow memory :stays on all the time
black ground :obvious
blue remote :only used with an amplifier
the rest are speaker wires.
if you have 2 orange wires. they are illumination wires usually only used for the stock radio not aftermarket just tape them off.

Cannot find 97 but found 98. Do these match?
