SOURCE: fuel filter location

The oil filter is in an aluminum cylinder on the engine. It is not a "spin on" filter, it is now a cartridge-type filter. When you get one, make sure that you use the new o-rings provided in the filter box. The fuel filter is in the tank. Hope this helps, the graciousness of a FixYa rating would be appreciated. Thanks.

SOURCE: teenager cannot locate transmission dipstick

Probably up against the engine firewall on left hand side should say transmission on top of stik with a yellow handle. It's kind of like the oil stick.

SOURCE: oil is leaking into the spark plug tube of my 1996

You could try to tighten the plug or plugs .You see some plugs have a gasket and some seal to the engine block where they thread in to the cylinder block. The olny thing that could cause is the plug being lose or if they have been removed a lot of times and there is a gasket at the base of the plug that has been over compressed or the worst thing that the threads in the cylinder are striped in witch case you can get what is called a helicoil to repair the thread in the cylinder block. But i would try tightening the plug that is leaking this is the most likely thing that could be happening

How to change fuel pump on 1996 avalon

Here's the repair guide for the 96 Camry,it's the same as the Avalon.I would use a OEM fuel pump, cost more but they will last way longer and they connect right up,no wire splicing and hose rework.

No oil in the crankcase, no leak from the plug

This is a very common problem and may be covered under warranty if you yell loud enough. There is an oil line that goes from the back of the engine and up toward the front. It fails and all the oil gets pumped out of the engine. Do not drive the car like this. It is a difficult job to repair because of its location.
