The fuse is No.3 "DR locks" (near steering wheel)
If you take the fuse out the doors will not open itselves.
The root cause of the problem will be a microswitch inside the drivers door?

======FOG LIGHTS ============
1.At first take out the foglight's fuse before you battery is dead. (Fog lights stays "ON" even you leave the car).
2.You must replace the Multifunction control switch =(
Here is the photo of problem:
http://www.ptcruiser.fi/ptgalleria/albums/userpics/10010/normal_sumuvalokytkin.jpgFog lights are connected to pin 13,14.
Fog light switch is "B". Because the current is many Amps, contact surfaces are heating up.
After that the contact opening "C" is melting (made of plastic) so the fog light stays "ON".
it does not have an after market alarm , everything on it is from the factory
I have a 04 Cruiser and the locks will unlock and lock by themselves all my switches work except for the passenger door switch could this switch be the problem? I have unhooked the Batt to reset the computer and it still happens.
Fan not coming on when AC is turned on. I have replaced the compressor and both high and low switch with the fan relay

I have a 2001 Pt Cruiser Limit Editon and just started doing this, Just as with Nealwix My passenger side switch is working properly too. It will unlock but not lock the car. Maybe this is the problem. Did Nealwix replace the switch and correct the problem?
When locking all the doors, the driver side does not lock, it has to be locked by hands. Hatch also locks the three door, but the the driver's side
Where is switch on front door of pt cruiser

door ajar light - locks - continue to come on when driving
repair rear door lock 2010 pt cruise
The door ajar switch is inside the latch in the car door. It is actuated by the latch loop on the door frame hitting the switch. Something is wrong with the alignment of the switch. I am trying to find out how to adjust it myself. It may require an entire latch assembly replacement. :(
PT Cruiser door ajar switches are built into the door latch, just beyond the claw hook that locks onto the loop that is on the door post. The front shoulder of the door post hoop activates the switch.
Add a CommentI do not know how to adjust the switch to make it function properly.
