Yes, on a 1996 Range Rover there is just a couple of bolts and the coil pack assy comes right off.
The cylinders are numbered on the coil pack. The 1996 has 1 coil pack for all the cylinders.
1999 -2002 has 2 coil packs which can also be replaced with everything still assembled but it is much more difficult and it can take a qualified technician upto 2 hours to replace them

Error Code P0351 for a 2005 Toyota Avalon

Possible causes
Faulty Ignition Coil 1
Ignition Coil 1 harness is open or shorted
Ignition Coil 1 circuit poor electrical connection
Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

What does this mean? When is the code detected? Each ignition circuit is continuously monitored by the Engine Control Module (ECM). The test fails when the ECM does not receive a valid pulse signal from the ignition coil. Possible symptoms Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) Lack/Loss of Power Engine may be harder to start Engine hesitation Rough engine idle P0351 TOYOTA Description: The ignition system on the vehicle uses individual ignition coils for each cylinder. The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls each ignition coil operation. The ECM sends a ON/OFF signal to energize the ignition coil to create a spark at the spark plug when a spark is required at the cylinder.

  • Open coil driver circuit
  • Coil driver circuit short to ground
  • Damaged coil
  • Coil driver circuit short to VPWR
Diagnostic Aids: Use the 12-volt non-powered test lamp to verify START/RUN voltage at the ignition coil harness connector.

Po 353 code

P0353 CHEVROLET Description The ignition system on the vehicle uses individual ignition coils for each cylinder. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls each ignition coil operation. The PCM sends a ON/OFF signal to energize the ignition coil to create a spark at the spark plug when a spark is required at the cylinder.

Possible Causes - Ignition Coil harness is open or shorted
- Ignition Coil circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Ignition Coil 3
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

P0351-IGNITION COIL #1 PRIMARY CIRCUIT

WHEN MONITORED
With battery voltage greater than 8 volts during engine cranking or greater than 13 volts with engine running. Engine RPM less than 3000. No coil in dwell during test.

SET CONDITION
Peak current is not achieved with battery based dwell plus 1.5 msec of diagnostic offset. It takes less than 3 seconds during cranking or up to 6 seconds while running to set.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Ignition coil
- Intermittent condition
- ASD relay output circuit
- Ignition coil driver circuit open
- Ignition coil driver circuit shorted to ground
- PCM

P0354 - Ignition Coil D Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction.

Description of DTC:
The ignition signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Electronic Control Module(ECM) is sent to and amplified by the power transistor. The power transistor turns ON and OFF the ignition coil primary circuit. This ON/OFF operation induces the proper high voltage in the coil secondary circuit.

Symptoms:
- Lack/Loss of Power
- The engine may be harder to start
- Engine hesitation
- Check Engine Light On
- No spark

Possible Causes:
- Open or short in the ignition coil circuit
- Ignition coil circuit shorted to ground
- Ignition coil connector
- Damaged ignition coil
- Damaged PCM or ECM

Possible Solutions:
- If damage, repair ignition coil circuit
- Replace ignition coil
- Replace PCM or ECM
