I have a 1993 chevrolet suburban k1500 4wd it run for 5 minutes and then shut off, it will restart and run until you put it in drive and it will shut right off, but it will restart and run until you put it in drive. I have replaced coil, enjectors, pcm, IAC, rotor, cap, ignition module all no help

Powertrain Control Module = under right side of dash, near blower motor.
Engine Control Module = same as above
Vehicle Control Module = same as above

we had this same problem, under the car there is a modular,near the transfer case, it just unlugs and plug a new one in.20 min.. it is approx. $80.00 item,$ 350.00 to have it done. we were in yellowstone when we had this problem. hope this helps

make sure your star wheel is moving freely. usually located at the bottom betwwen the shoes that's your adjuster and when it seizes up then you lose adjust

there is a sensor on the throttle body it' controls the idel of the vehicle it's called a tps and has a electrical lead to it this should be replaced it will be positioned right behind the butterflyplate of the throttle body

this is a problem that happens alot you have to use an impact driver for this and a impact torx bit. the driver is a cylinder shaped tool with a 3/8 drive head. you get the impact torx the the impact driver and a hammer. the tool is inexpensive and will do the trick.
