My 1990 Pontiac 6000 conked out while driving and it couldn't restart. It wasn't even firing but it was cranking. It's a 3.1L fuel injected engine, any ideas to what the problem could be?

You burnt out ignition coil packs on drivers side rear of engine. Should be 3 packs with two plug wires attached. Replace them and and drive away.

How do you replace the engine and transmission in a 1987 Pontiac 6000. It's a 4 cylinder.

Unhook wires at harnesses, unhook hoses after draining fluids, jack front end up, put jack stands under 2 front wheels under the body and position the jack under the main frame that the engine and transmission that the engine and transmission is mounted to, take bolts out of the strut towers on each side, remove 6 main frame bolts, lower jack and roll engine, transmission and frame from under car, you may have to raise back up to fully get it out
