Door locks and windows are not functioning on my 1999 VW Passat. I checked the fuses everything there seems ok. I just purchsed vehicle from a private seller as is with no owner's manual. Is there fuses or a relay box anywhere else on vehile that would control the windows and door locks?

    Windows and front door lock dont work and sometimes wipers, radio, fan and dashboard lights stop working temporeraly. All fuses ok.

    my vw passat central locking windows and mirrors wont work i was told it could be a module for all three things if so where do i find it

I have has the same problem on a newer vw.. check the drivers door and check the rubber fanfold boot that connects from the door to the door jamb see it is torn.. 2 wires broken inside of this boot will cause all the windows and locks to not work... make sure as you said you have checked ALL of the fuses

1999 chevy blazer auto door locks and the rear hatch / window will not work checked fuse on fuse block on inside of vechile. Thats ok found a main fuse block in engine compartment Not sure what fuse it is...
Ok, heres the fix, 3 amp fuse marked windows / locks in the underhood fuse box. Changed it out and everything works again. Hope this helps you.

99 passat doors don't lock right
Fixed it! Four broken wires which had corroded through because of water getting in. Reconnected with suitable wires = all works again! The wires are near the control unit under the LH floor. You will see tell-tale blue corrosion from copper wires seaping through the insulation tape.

check the fuse 3rd along 3rd down.its a 10amp minifuse.if thats ok chances are you have a water leak in to passenger footwell that has corroded the splice that feeds the convenience control unit .if fuse is ok let me know and i can give you more info.
