2003 Chevy Silverado having electrical issues. Something in the insterment panel keeps running after the key is turned off and removed. Batteries keep getting drained from this then it won't start. Wasn't able to reset the change oil display after oil changed until some wires behind the insterment panel were pushed in and around. Problem solved until tried to start it again and noise is back and insterment display lights hesitate to come on or just don't come on at all sometimes. Sometimes the heater will blow when truck is attempted to be started even after it was turned off and truck was tried to be started again.

SOURCE: 1986 chevrolet silverado truck engine hesitates when accelarating

Along with the vacuume leaks I would check the carb. The accelerator pump might be out of adjustment or something else in the carb. Currently I have the same problem with mine and I just adjusted it and for 1 day so far it's ran fine but I have a holley on mine. Carb may be dirty also.

The problem may be that it has 55 psi instead of 60-65. Could be the fuel pressure regulator or the fuel pump itself. I have read that these engines need 60 psi minimum to start reliably. Also with the engine off, look down the throttle body with a flashlight and see if the intake appears wet inside, indicating leaking central injectors. There is an upgraded injector assembly available with pressure regulator at autoparts stores. Requires 4-5 hours to replace with experienced mechanical skill level. Would definately upgrade if the pressure regulator needs replaced anyway.

I have a 90 chevy silverado that the running light fuse keeps blowing out I have no clue what to do.

Fuse's blow for one reason only , the electrical circuit the fuse protects is shorted to ground . That means the wire is touching ground somewhere , metal on the body or frame etc.. look on youtube at videos on how to find a electrical short circuit .
