My right and left brake lights arn't working, just the top brake light works. But my lights still work, it's just when I press the brake, the brake lights don't come on?????

It is the turn signal switch. To change it, you have to pull the steering wheel. You will need a puller tool and a compression tool to get the componets out of the column and to reinstall. Beware of the airbag, it can cause serious injury.

Some of these had two fuses for brake lights. One for the top/center stop lamp and another for the rear left and right brake lights. Usually one said "stop" and the other said "brake" and one was in the underhood panel while the other was in the dash fuse panel. It's not uncommon to blow a brake light fuse [LR and RR] if you tow a trailer but some of these had seperate fuses for the trailer lights also. If you have a test light check both sides of the two fuses for power [ignition key on] while stepping on the brakes. It should at lest narrow your search a bit.

third light is different circuit. saftey reason check fuses grounds wires

check the fusse for the brake ligt and the righht and left rear lights. also check the brake switch white is located underneath the dash board an over the brake pedal

if can you check the wires on the brake pedal sensor

most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine

i have replaced many of these. it is the multifunction switch under steering wheel cover.the third brake light is on different circuit .so replace muti switch and you will fix your problem thanks please rate this answer

There should be at least 2 bulbs in the light assembly. One light is the light that is on when you turn on your headlights with out the brake pressed, the other light only lights up while you press on the brake. Make sure you are replacing the correct bulb. You may have been replacing the bulb that stays on. Your lights may be set up to turn off the light that stays on when the headlights are on while pressing the brakes.

Igot the same problem on left side.The problem was the convertor for the trailler plug.
