If the fuses are checked ok, then other possibilities are horn relay and wiring both needs to be checked. For more details and relay diagram, click the link below :--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/10/horn-not-working-on-1998-jeep-cherokee.html --------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

HOrn makes a noise but very weak noise. should i replace the horn or horn relay?

Run a thick wire straight from the battery to the positive terminal of the horn. If the horn sounds normal, replace the relay. If the horn is still weak, locate the adjustment screw and play with that to try improve the tone, if that does not work or if there is no screw, replace the horn,

Where is the horn relay located on a 1998 jeep sport?

The horn relay is located in the power distribution box under the hood. Also, fuse cavity 21 and 4 are fused to the horn circuit as well as the clockspring mechanism in the steering wheel. Best case scenario would be a defective horn or blown fuse in the horn circuit, worst case scenario would be the clockspring in the steering well is defective and will need to be replaced. Before replacing any parts, check the connections first.

I need help with a 2000 Jeep Cherokee locating and fixing a horn that stopped working...fuse is okay

get a long wire and test the horn directly from the battery positive, if it works many times the vibration clears the problem, If you press the horn and do not hear a clicking sound from under dash, find fuse box in engine compartment, study all relays, find two that are exactly alike and swith with horn relay, test, if it works, there it is!

Horn don't work 1992 jeep

The horn is located in the front bump on the drivers side. You'll need the remove the side cap to access the horn itself. As for the fuse, check under your dash on the drivers side. You will see the fuse box. Printed in white type up-bove each slot, should indicate which one the fuse watches, there should be one for horn. If you can't find it, then one by one remove the fuses and check to see if any have blown.

Where is the horn relay located on a 95 jeep grand cherokee?

On my 95 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, the horn relay is in a compartment under the glove box. Open the glove box and remove the three screws in the front on the bottom. Take the plastic cover out and you'll see a bank of relays. The horn relay is the one on the far left, closest to you.

Where do I find the horn switch on 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

You should check to see if you have power at the horn first. If you do, you need a new horn. I believe there is also a relay involved. Sometimes these are interchangable. You can take a relay like the one for the A/C and swap it with the horn one and see if the horn works. That will at least eliminate the relay.

Horn malfunction

Under the hood of your jeep on the passenger side there is the Power Distrubution Center (PDC). Remove the lid and thered will be fuses and relays in there. I could not locate the exact location of the horn reley, but if you start removing them one by one you can find the horn relay. You will know the right one when the horn stops.
