1996 Nissan Quest engine light on. Been to the mechanic within 4 days. First it was that it needed a part replaced than the light turned back on & went back & they said the car had to much oil, so they drained it & refilled it & than the next day its back on. Would like to know what the possible problem might be so I dont have to keep going back & they try to get more money out of me. Thanks.

you need a new alternator.

I took my pathfinder to U-HAUL and asked them to check the towing lights. There was a pinched wire by my tail light and they cut it and changed it out for me, it was $5. I am so glad that I didnt take it to Nissan. My second step was going to be getting a new dimmer switch..but the guy who worked on my car said that wouldnt be the problem. He also told me that replacing a fuse that kept blowing out was dangerous and after the first time to get it checked out. Learn something new every day!!

you need to remove the lower balljoint and the center nut and it should come right out. use pb buster or wd-40 on the splines. they tend to rust up

the easist way is to loosen the alternator slide the alternator down then slide the belt where it should go then pull up on the alternator again and bolt up Please rate my response thank you very much

there isnt a rear washer tank.. only one resevroir , the hose for the rear washer sprayer must be clogged or broken or or not connected...
