I have the same exact problem as the person who posted the following, which is so well written that I couldn't improve upon it: The 6 CD changer in the trunk of my 1999 Ford Taurus SE stopped working all of a sudden. When I depress the CD button on the console it reads ''NO'' ''CD'' then goes back to the radio station. Depressing the eject button on the changer in my trunk does nothing but make a short spinning noise as though it's trying to eject but does not. Also, I tried disconnecting then reconnecting ''+'' cable on my car battery for 30 mins., then depressing the ''CD'' button on the console and trying to remove the CD magazine in the changer and I get the same as before. Of course everything else works perfectly.

This sounds like the belt in the changer has broken, this belt operates the tray that hold the magazine, so its trying to eject it but is not moving upward also this belt spins the discs, you will need to remove the unit and had a belt out in it, ive had a couple of these repaired it cost about 100.00 dollars, at an audio repair shop also had one that the carriage was bad. hope this helps.

Try putting your radio code back into the system it should be written in the hand book if you don't remember it.

2005 Expedition - Changed battery and Cd changer won't work now, is there a fix?

I am not familiar with the 2005 Expedition CD changer, but many of the higher end devices require a code to be entered when the power is disconnected. This helps reduce the theft of car audio equipment since it can not be used again until the correct code is entered. Ford dealership can either enter the code for you or look up the code if you do not have the original manual for the CD changer which should have the code written somewhere in the first couple of pages.

We can't get the factory 6 disc cd player to load more than 1 disc. What is the sequence for loading additional discs?

The following is the owner's manual for your 2004 Dodge Neon:

http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html?year=2004&nameplate=Neon

P.99 describes how to load discs:

1. Select and press any numbered button without an illuminated light above it.
2. Insert the CD while the light above the chosen button is flashing and the two lights on either side of the slot are illuminated.
3. Upon insertion, the CD will begin to play, and both the button light and the lights in the corner of the loading slot will illuminate.
4. Repeat the process for loading any additional CDs. The CD playe rwill stop while additional CDs are loaded.

Playing Discs
The radio will show the CD number, the CD track number, and the Track Time Elapsed while the radio is in the CD mode. IF more than one CD is loaded in the changer, the changer will automatically play the next disc after playing the last track of the current disc.

Wow, that's a lot of typing.
I didn't know the 2004 Dodge Neon had such a nice changer.
Good luck.

No CD changer

I wonder if the person you got the vehicle from knew there was no CD changer, but never look a gift horse in the mouth. Any brand CD changer should be able to work with your in-dash controller unit. You do not need to pay an arm and a leg to the dealer for a new unit, or risk purchasing a questionable used unit. I highly recommend Crutchfield.com for selection, price, and support.
