My 1997 Nissan 4x4 pickup 2.4L 4 cyl manual transmission KA24E Engine cuts out when it warms up and dies at intersections. I have replaced the front O2 sensor which helped for two days but it is acting up again.

The code is "ignition signal" The truck also wants to die when put in reverse after it is warmed up. I have checked the ground straps and the vacuum hoses appear to be ok.

This could be caused by several different things.check E.G.R.vave to make sure its not sticking.Check fuel system, start with testing fuel pressure then filter and pump check every vacuum line carefully to make sure there is no cracks or leaks.I assume your computer is not setting a code so that could possibly eliminate your MAF sensor.Let me know whats up and I will check back with you.If this does not work I have more answers.

What is the best way to remove a ka24e from a1993 4x4?

If it has an Automatic transmission the easiest way to to remove the motor from the top with the transmission attached. If it has a manual Transmission you will need to separate the motor from the transmission. Most of the repairs you would have to do to include doing a rebuild can be done with the engine in the vehicle.
