you have obvious short in the wiring - check the bulbs first, then the wiring. it is rarity to exchange relay - if it was not physically damaged during accident.
remove fender you have to raise vechicle remove wheel. remove splash shield remove bolts holding fender through wheel opening.then you have open hood remove headlight housing remove fender bolts behind head light housing.
Any auto parts store will have those fasteners.Most just push in(one time use only)and others are two piece and can be used over and over.You will need to know the size of the hole where the fasteners lock into.
Unscrew the Torx retaining screws and remove the headlight bezel.
Remove the headlight bulb retaining screws. These are the screws which hold the retaining ring for the bulb to the front of the car. Do not touch the two headlight aiming screws, at the top and the side of the retaining ring (these screws will have different heads), or the headlight aim will have to be re-adjusted.
Pull the bulb and ring forward, then separate them. Unplug the electrical connector from the rear of the bulb.
Plug the new bulb into the electrical connector. Install the bulb into the retaining ring and then install the ring and the bulb. Install the headlight beze
WHAT TO DO IS OPEN THE HOOD OF YOUR BEETLE AND WILL BEABLE TO SEE THE HEAD LIGHT. THERE IS A LEAVER THAT PUSHES DOWN TO EJECT THE HEAD LIGHT OUT OF THE FENDER. YES IT COMES ALL THE OUT OF THE CAR. YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE A SCREW DRIVER TO PUSH THE LOCK DEVICE DOWN TO PUSH LEAVER DOWN.ONCE YOU GET THE HEAD LIGHT OUT TAKE THE BACK OFF OF IT AND REPLACE THE BULBS. WHEN YOU PUT THE HEAD LIGHT BACK IN THERE ARE 3 GUIDES TO PUT THE HEAD BACK IN TO LOCK IT BACK IN PLACE. ONCE YOU HAVE IT IN THE GUIDES US THE LEAVER TO PULL THE HEAD LIGHT BACK INTO THE FENDER.
In the front of the cherokee, right side under the bumper there is a football shaped plastic canister.
The canister is a resoiver for vacuum that control the heat and defrost
doors. Either it is cracked from the fender bender or the body shop
didn't connect the vacuum lines.
