You have two main wires. The large one that goes directly to the block and a smaller one that goes to the body (fender near the battery). That grounding continues, adding a large connection from the rear of the cylinder head to the firewall, several small harness grounds on the sides of the block and sometimes also near the computer. When there is a ground problem, it is often a good idea to clean all the ground points and even to run a separate ten gauge wire from the battery, attaching it at several points to the block, firewall, fenders and also to the main dash frame inside the cabin (running through the firewall). You cannot "overground" an electrical system, so doing that, even if it does not help a particular problem, will often avoid others.
