SOURCE: 98 Ford Contour CNG does not switch to CNG, stays on gasoline

The older CNG Contours are prone to "compuvalve" failure. The compuvalve is the system that injects natural gas into the engine instead of gasoline. If the unit dies, your CNG light will not come on, and the car will default to gasoline.

You could check and see if the CNG fuses are blown. They are located on the driver side strut tower brace, between the strut tower and the power brake booster.

The fuses are covered with a black rubber boot, that is secured with a small black ziptie. Cut the ziptie and you shoud find 2 fuses. These are the fuses for the CNG system and compuvalve.

SOURCE: can't seem to find the manual transmission gear

I hate to point out the obvious - but are you sure it is a 4g13 engine? That is mitsubishi's 1.3l engine. Your profile has no info saying what country you are from - but I think all 2005 mitsubish lancer engines will be >1.3L
There is a 4g93 1.8l dohc engine.

Check to see if #1 &4 use a common coil pack. If so, = likely culprit.

What is the1993 mitsubishi lancer charging system picture?

OK, the problem appears to be the alternator is not charging. With a multimeter, check on the alternator output lug for around 14Vdc when the engine is running. This same voltage should appear on the battery +ive terminal. If not,
1. Check that the multiwire plug in the alternator does not have any damaged wires. If so repair the damage.
2. The 5mm wire from the alternator to the battery runs under the radiator, and can get damaged. This wire runs into the main fuse box on the RHS engine bay. There's also an 80A fuse (BOLTED in place) in the fuse box. Check this fuse is not blown, replace if needed.

Spark plug gap for 1990 Mitsubishi Lancer

hi, in the american database for alldata, there is no lancer in 1990, if your engine is dohc, or sohc though, i checked 2.0 and 1.8, both are 1.0mm - 1.1mm gap. shouldn't be any problem running at these gaps, most every mitsubishi engine runs at this spark plug gap.

1994 1.8 CC lancer has no spark Primary and secondary coils checked out ok Transistor checked out ok has power to coils when key is on Should spark????

So you're getting voltage to positive side of coils, but no spark at plugs? If you were to take the coil plug wire and hold it about 1/4 inch from engine ground do you get spark? (Use well insulated handles, don't touch metal) If yes, maybe plug wires, if no, does it have a control module? I'm not familiar with Mitsubishi, I've worked mostly on American cars.

Re:1.8 gsr Turbo ignition coil problem

when you replace your ignition coil is it the right one spec from factory? Also when ever you replace a coil it is good practice to replace leads and spark plugs at the same time and test rotor and cap as these parts if worn or damaged will put your coil under extra load making its life shorter.
