service 'c' means you have additional items that might need addressing during the service. Mercedes used letters A-F for the Flexible service system on the E class. The letter correspondes to the hours the service should take. Service A is 1 hour. Service B is 2 hours. Service C is 3 hours etc all the way to F. On average the service C consists of oil and filter change, vehicle inspection A and the brake fluid flush.
insp =inspection service due now
service codes are:-
insp=inspection service(timed service,high mileage)
in10=10k/annual service(low mileage)
in20=20k/annual service(low mileage)
this is dependant on what service regime was set during the pre delivery check,you cannot reset it once set.
hi this service B means that you require a major service, this will entail, plugs,oil,brake fluid,belts,adjustments,brake pads,all fluids,all filters, so its a real major service...hope this helps
Mercedes Benz , catigorizes the services,
a, b, c , d, , etc. The owners manual should explain what the service is. For Example. service A could mean check all fluids and lube all body parts at 30,000 miles or every 6 months.
Service D could me check and change all fluids. Engine oil, transmission, brake , coolant Etc.
Again check the owners manual for the service or call a Dealer and speak with a Service Advisor in the service department. They will be able to explain it.
The maintenance service indicator shows the maintenance service type (letters A-H) in the multifunction display. This service type is only to give the customer an approximate time required to perform the required maintenance ranging from approximately one hour for Service A to approximately eight hours for Service H.
To determine the actual service items required, you must call up the service item menu in the multifunction display. Refer to instruction below.
Calling up the maintenance service data information
The maintenance service indicator shows the maintenance service type (letters A-H) in the multifunction display approximately one month before the service appointment is due in miles (distance criterion) or in days (time criterion).
This maintenance service type is based on the service items to be carried out. The service items are described in the Maintenance Booklet.
The service items to be carried out under the corresponding service type can be displayed in the multifunction display
example Service "D" on my 2005 E320 4MATIC at 12,000 miles.
