What kind of oil do i need for a 2002 hyundai accent L?

A 10w-30 is sufficient. Dont go crazy buying the most expensive oil on the market, also dont use synhetic.
look for an oil with an sh,sg or a sh/cd rating. these ratings are from the american petrolium institute so there all the same.

I have hyundai accent GVS make 2002. My car has ran only 57000 kms however it has started consuming engine oil since sumtime now. If we think about any engine effeciency its perfect like a new car but when...

The valve stem oil seals sound like theyre worn and oil is getting past the vlaves and been burnt in the combustion chamber, once the valve stem oil seals are replaced it should cure your problem as with only 57k kms the piston rings shouldnt be worn yet.

Engine oil change - Quantity

Its 3 1/2 Quarts, but you might as well put a full 4 quarts in if it goes through that much. make sure you change the filter aswell! dirty oil will not cause your engine to go through it any faster. Is the oil leaking or is the engine burning it?

Hyundai accent engine oil consumption

Hi ..... With this milage I'd expect at the same time the following would have been done, valve seals changed, valve guides checked/replaced, bores honed and valves reground into the cylinder head. Not to have done any of these is false economy and bad engineering practice.
The symptoms you state, esp'ly on topping up, point towards valve seals or guides.
Take the plugs out and examine, they should all be a light tan. Carryout a compression test across the bores and come back with the results.
