HIGH PITCH WHINNING NOISE IS FAULTY TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP.HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE CHECK AT A TRANSMISSION SHOP.IF TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP TOO WEAK OR MALFUNCTION.YOUR TRANSMISSION WONT HAVE ENOUGH OIL PRESSURE FOR FORWARD GEAR , REVERSE GEAR, BAND OR SHIFT VALVES IN VALVE BODY.NOTHING WILL WORK TRANSMISSION.OIL PUMP LIKE HYDRALIC PUMP KEEPS EVERY THING WORKING..
Have you checked the transmission fluid? I believe the problem is within the transmission, because it wont go
into gear. A whining noise, or high pitch noise, can be caused by low transmission fluid, which allows air to get in the transmission lines, or it could be a bad transmission pump. This is for a automatic transmission, since it is what I believe that you have in your car.
The high pitched whine in reverse sounds normal for a honda. Ever honda I have had makes a similar noise while in reverse. The spinning, scraping noise in drive is not normal. You might want to see a mechanic about that.
You need fluid!! The high pitched noise yu hear is air in the hydraulic sections of the transmission. Top up the fluid then find out where the leak is
Good Luck
