If your vehicle shakes when you apply the brakes, your rotors are warped or worn. Replace the brakes and rotors!!Steering system will not cause this!!
I replaced both the rotors and brakes, and the car still shakes when I do about 70. You can barely feel anything when going straight, you can feel a slight shaking when turning the steering wheel slightly to the right, and you can feel a good shake when you turn the steering wheel slightly to the left. It still shakes when I hit the brakes at 70 as well.
You may have some play in your suspension. Inspect Inner and Outer tie rod ends for looseness. Also at the same time inspect upper and lower ball joints for excessive wear or damaged grease boots. Replace if necessary.
I had the front end inspected and found that both outer tie rod ends were bad, I can't seem to get the the tie rod ends off te tie rod. Any suggestions?
I'd recommend replacing inner and outer tie rods. the inner will give way not long after!! Soak tie rod ends with penetrating oil for 30 mins.First, Loosen the tie rods inner bolt (the one on the steering rod). Once loosened clean the thread with brake cleaner and mark(use a water proof marker) where the tie rod end stops on the steering rod threading (this is to minimize off aligned steering). Remove the outer tie rod ends outer retaining bolt (the one that bolts on to the wheel hub). Remove the outer tie rod end from the wheel hub and loosen from the steering rod. If its still hard to loosen, you must use a vise grip/Vise tool to hold the steering rod while loosing the tie rod ends. Hopefully this helpd

I replaced both the rotors and brake pads, now it still shakes when I do like 70. You barely feel it when the car is going straight, you can feel a light shake when the steering wheel is turned slightly to the right, and you can feel a noticable shake when you turn the steering wheel slightly to the left.
