Power windows on driver's side failed first, then the passenger side failed.
Suggestion was to take door off ourselves and replace the motor for less than the cost of dealership repair.
We have had power windows on all of our cars for years, from four different vehicle makes, and feel that the Dodge Crysler makers have a failure in manufacturing on this vehicle for something like this to require replacement inside of five years. Does anyone have experience doing this themselves?

My driver's side window stopped working. My neighbor said it was the switch, replaced switch, it worked then stopped after a week. Took it in to Conrad's they said it wasn't a short in the wiring, have to replace the motor and window regulator. Will cost $500+. Wow, I hope the passenger window keeps working.

the only way to fix the problem is replace the window motor and spray the windowfelt with silicone spray this help from the window getting sticky and slow. also spray some lytium white greese on the window tracks. Check for broken wires inside the flex connection between the body and the drivers door . Your vehicle has electronic modules inside the doors for control of lock's , windows , power mirrors . Your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop.
I believe I have a lifted ground ????? what do you mean by this ? Do you know that the power windows ,lock's ,remote keyless entry are controlled by modules ( computers ) DDM - drivers door module ,passenger door module , serial data communication network (PCI data bus ) ?
Ground is supplied for driver door module at body ground G-300 , black wire connector 1 pin #4 driver door module . The first thing in diagnosing these system's would be to hook up a factory or professional scan tool to check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes , viewing input an output data to the door module's ,does the module communicate with the scan tool. I have checked the ground wire in the drivers door ?????? what about B+ voltage to the switch ? These vehicles wires from the body to the door break inside the rubber boot . Looking at a wiring diagram (so U know what wire is what ) Test with test light ,voltmeter etc...
Video's on youtube for testing electrical circuits . Plus these systems are controlled by a DDM - driver door module .

Check for broken B+ or ground wire inside the flex boot from the body to the driver door . Common problem on all make vehicles . Open the door a couple million times an they can break . its either going to be on the drs side fenderwell under the hood or under the dash by the drs side kick panel. it will be labeled on the legend for the panel.
Demand a recall or maybe there is one. I know Dodge has electrical problems with the way they made their vehicles. Many of there vehicles have trouble.
