I have put a new alternater, belt, and battery in my daughter's 1998 Hyundai Elantra and it still want hold a charge. As soon as we give it a jump then we try to move the car it cuts off. I don't know...

I would have the whole charging system tested with a Volt Meter before you change anything else. You can test the Alternator with a Volt Meter while the engine is running. The Alternator should be putting out between 13-14 volts, anything less and you have a bad Alternator. Check all Battery, Starter, Ground connections for loose or corroded wires and tighten or clean as needed.

How do I remove the alternator from my 2000. And what tools do I

First, you have to disconnect the battery cables. Locate the alternator. Loosen the tensioner,or the actual alternator might be the only accessory needed
to be loosened to remove the belt.Remove the alternator, and the wiring going to it.Make sure to
make a diagram,of where the wires go,so when you got to attatch them to the new unit, there will be no
issues.Reassemble as removed.Make sure the belt
is properly tensioned when reinstalling the new alternator. Good luck.

The belt for my alternator of Hyundai Elantra 1999 broke down, and I need to know which one is it so I can buy it

get to the closest bennitt auto supply or whatever you have near you and ask them. of call the dealer im sure they could tell you if you have your VIN# handy. call them up first and see if they have it. if you have more than one belt now is the time to change them all. you wouldnt want your water pump belt (which is probably the same one that is broken) to pop off and then your car overheats...

Need info on timing belt 1998 hyundai elantra

The timing belt is normally replaced at 100,000 km (approx. 60,000 mi), but must be checked for wear and tear starting 75,000 km(approx. 45,000 mi) along with a major tune-up.

The switch near the shifter is the ECT (transmission control) which selects NORMal driving mode, and PoWeR mode. It is the battle between economy (NORM) and driving performance (PWR). As tested, the PWR mode delays your A/T upshift to a higher RPM. This utilizes your engine's higher revs, but really cuts into fuel economy.

Hope this helps.

How to replace serpentine belts 99' Hyundai Elantra.

you might need to get a prybar or something such long, and try to pry it off the belt, it should go easy right away. It is a spring-inside assembly, and won't brake. There also could be a 3/4 hole in it, look from a side. It's for middle size ratched, it can be used to loosen the tensioner from serp. belt.

Hoping to replace my alternator belt, how do i install the new one?

well it really depends on the car that you have... but on most cars when you open the hood there should be a picture, a diagram of how the belts go on... it should either be on the fan guard of on the hood... give it a look

Power steering pump--2001 hyundai elantra

If it's not a serpetine belt, max deflection of 3/4" on longest segment should be safe,  don't make alternator belt tight as a drum or you will burn out alternator bearings quickly.  If it has serpentine belt, the spring tensioner should keep the belt properly tensioned unless it's worn out.
It only needs to be tight enough to not slip, too loose will squeal and you will have to tighten,  to tight will kill alternator and you will spend $$.
