I have a oil leak on a 1999 chrysler 300m and it seems like it is thru the oil pressure sending unit

Attach Oil pressure Gauge To The Oil sending Unit.

Oil pump going out, not enough of oil, bad oil sending unit which very possible.

108 Map sensor or pcm computer,113 IAT sensor or pcm,122 TP sensor or pcm, 700 Automatic trans computer or pcm, 733 Automatic trans leak or low pressure, 733 leak low pressure Your main computer(pcm) is shot start there. Then possible trans computer shot also(TCM)

There are three engines that come with this car, there are two engines 2.0 and2.4 with the oil pressure switch located on the right front of the engine block, and then if it has the 2.5 engine then the oil pressure switch is located on the leftside of the engine block above the oil filter, good luck,.

If you are looking at the oil filter it is to the left of it about 2 inches

Try replacing the oil sending unit. Most of the time its just a case of a bad sending unit. If it still does it then you probably have low oil pressure issues.

if your engine is a 3.2 or 3.5,
the sending unit is beside the filter and screws in the motor,
if your unlucky and your engine is a 2.7,it is on the right side of engine on lower half .

oil light coming on hey....will instead of having the oil changed, it might be something as simple as having the level checked...the quick lube places sometimes don't do the oil change right....i've heard horror stories....so check the level...if good, then i would be checking underneath for a leak at the oil pressure sending unit......if good, then replacle it...it doesn't sound like anything major....

When you got stuck in the snow did it impact hard (quick stop or small drop like a deeper ditch)? If this is the case it could be the sending unit might have been dammaged in some way. I would have the shop take a look at.
