On the fuel rail there will ba a fuel pressure regulator. It will have a vacuum hose going to it. Pull off the vacuum hose and see if gas comes out of the nipple on the regulator. If it does than you have a bad fuel pressure regulator. If it doesn't than the next step would be to measure fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge.

A bad check valve in the fuel pump can cause the same condition you described. It is commonly reffered to as an "extended crank".

Myn truck will start perfectly but once running and driving it will just shut off as if i turned the key off any ideas

Does it start right back up ? Or do you need to let it sit for a little bit ? Some electronic Parts , ignition control modules , engine control modules ,coil packs etc.. when hot ,due to a break down in internal electronics will act like this . The first thing i would do if this vehicle came to my shop , Check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes , an check engine sensor data . Coolant sensor problem ,crankshaft position sensor etc... Making Sense of Engine Sensors

Where does a cold start sit on a chev spark 0.8 2008 and can that cause it not to start?

sounds like it needs a good tuneup, and maybe a battery! most cars start in about 5-10 seconds, even on a cold morning.if all is ok. good-day!

99 Civic Strong crank, no start.

run the fault codes and check for cam./crank position sensor check that the camshaft is turning ( broken timing belt) Have the CPU reset using a coder reader as the security program may be corrupted from the dead battery

2004 gmc sonoma why does it take 2-3 times cranking before it starts and only does it sometimes?

install pressure gauge and watch when key is turned off to see if pressure drops to zero if so bad drain back valve in fuel pump replace it or deal with it or could be cheap aftermarket pump and has hard time building unnecessary pressure to open poppet valves between before fuel injectors

Our car starts right up in the morning just fine. The rest of the day in and out of car it has trouble starting. What could it be?

If battery and connections are good (it's a big draw, different then other components).Because a bad connection or old battery can sometimes work the starter after it sits, doesn't make it .Some times a starter has a bad spot, thats whe you see some one get under and directly jump it.If buying a battery get at least recommended cranking amp size battery,Larger auto stores check battery no charge (bad joke). Its free google /bing who does a free battery test.Auto zons, pep boys, sears.May even be running a sale. Most switch out battery for fee (no charge*),*Hopefully you will laugh later.

I have a 1990 ford bronco and it will start fine in the morning after it has been sitting all night but once the motor worms up it becomes hard to start and some times won't start at all, then I let it sit...

If you mean "hard to start and sometimes won't start at all" because it doesn't turn over or doesn't turn over fast enough you need to replace the starter & solinoid.
