Sounds like you have a problem with your blend door in your air distribution box behind the dash. Somebody needs to get in there and figure out why it won't switch from defrost to the vents or floor setting.
It was a vacuim hose. Had someone change plugs. They did the back bank from under the car. Usually a sign of a faulty blend door or problem with the control on the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater and ac then thru the selected vent outlets.
sounds like bad acuator motor, this is what moves the door in heater box to set hot or cold air, and other motors to set air to blow thru defrost, vent or floor. good luck.
