Humming sound that goes up in pitch as speed increases. thought might be tires, rotated and no change. sound appears from the front.

you're on the right track. it sounds like the right wheel bearing is causing the noise.

have someone ck the wheel bearings,and ck for poss. vacuum leak at upper to lower intake manifold gaskets

Without hearing the noise, it is hard to diagnose. If you replaced the bearings and the noise level is correlated with the speed of the vehicle - I'd look at the wheels/tires. They may be out of balance or you could have a radial shift in one of the tires. Rotate the back tires to the front and front to back. See if that changes the pitch or noise level.

I had that on an HHR, the tire tread was coming loose.

MOST of the hums after a while come from the diff as the back axle does the driving and almost all its life runs the same way except when going in reverse ,is the rear diff meshing and worn on both the crownwheel and the pinion and the humming gets slightly louder the faster you go and almost goes when almost stopped and this can also be the slight vibration you get so get the diff oil drained and refilled and check if there is any metal in the oil when drained if so thats your problem But it will last for years like that..Let me know how you get on RON

Alignment will not create a sound by it's self. The most common cause of humming (especially if you have an agressive tread design)is a wear pattern in the tires...check for that or rotate the tires around & see if the noise changes. If it does then you know it's in the tires. & Not always, but most of the time a bearing noise will increase or decrease in intensity if you load up one side at a time by doing 35-50 mph & turning slightly to each side.

Have tires checked, but sounds like possible wheel bearing going.

It sounds like a possible bad front wheel bearing they will make like a humming or growling noise.The pull could be air pressure a little lower in the right front tire than the left front check the air in all tires and if pull is still there take the left front put it on the right front and put the right front tire on the left front.Sometimes tires get what they call radial pull and that will fix it or make it go the other way if it goes the other way either get new tires or put the back tires on the front of the vehicle and put the front tires on the back.

Wheel bearing is the most likely cause. Prob a 1.5-2 hour labor rate job in the shop.
