Problem is usually caused by the regulator in the spider head. It may not be installed correctly, not getting enough vacuum from the intake upper manifold or is failing. Start by checking the vacuum at the manifold.

Your blazer has to have 55 psi or better to start and starting fluild is possible to flood the plugs now their too wet to fire. Sit awhile and they should dry on thier own. The injectores won't past fuel below about 40 PSI while cranking the voltage to the pump or the pump ground is going away (starters not grounded good enought and the ground goes positive as the car cranks. Put jumper cables from another running car and coonect them right at the starter ( at least the ground, connect it right o the case of the starter, Pos/ can be connected at the battery). sure your battery may be toast and still crank a good starter but the voltage below 10 while cranking may not close the fuel pump relay al or the ingtion module. I've had this problem and sometimes I've found the ingtion module bad and I had it tested at the store and they said it was good but as I sent it in to be tested they sent a new one anyway and the new module would run it and the tested good old one won't start the car. BUT. Everytime it goes back to the quaily of the fuel pump and I've bought a lot of bad ones for GM products that were made by Master and Airtex. I've never had a problem with a Delphi. As long as the crank voltage is good jump it to make sure and the pump wire while cranking is more than 11 volts and it still has less than 55 PSI you take the pump back get another one or demand the delphi, and if they want you to put in another aixtex ask them to pay you to put it in. Bet you'll get the Delphi. The return level is high on the Airtex and Master pumps is high and the parts guy your buying from knowns this unless he's still wet behind the ears, and plain just does'nt know. Orginal equipment in this area keeps the comebacks away and I'm a pro. unless the customer makes me put in the junk pump I don't even give them a choice.

Have a chev blazer 4.3 THROTTLE BODY V6 ,HAVE 2 SPRAY STARTING FLUID IN BREATHER & starts & runs all day,no problems . Shut off & in 5 min wont start again, unless u spray it 4 2 seconds again? Whats...

Maybe a problem in the fuel pump circuit. Check fuel pressure with engine off, and key turned to on, not start. If no pressure, diagnose the pump circuit at the fuel pump relay. One terminal for the relay would be the power feed for the pump. The engine computer signals the relay on for 2 seconds with key on to prime the system, also signals during engine cranking.

My 2002 Chevy Blazer won't start?

If you replaced the injector after the plugsthey may be fuel fouled.Pull the plugs and clean them.(you can sandblast them,or use a method I used to use-shoot a little starting fluid on them and use a lighter to burn off the contamination of too much fuel).I can't believe GM kept using this stupid design so long-I remember nearly new Vortec V6s with this same problem in the '90s.

95 blazer fuel prob's.

It drops when it is turned off through the return the pump might be getting weak If you keep using the starting fluid you will blow the intake off of it or it will get hooked on it and won't start without it.

I have to spray starter fluid in the intake to start my blazer

that indicates you have a fuel supply problem. a plugged fuel filter, or a fuel pump thats loosing its pressure. usually when you put starting fluid in throttle body. and it starts. thats a fuel problem.

Im working on a 95 s10 blazer. It has the 4.3 engine. It will only start if it is sprayed with starting fluid.the fuel pump, fuel filter, and pressure regulator have all been replaced.Seems like the system...

It sounds like the fuel pump is not working. Perhaps the install was not completed correctly. Things to check, fuel pump relay, wiring, voltage to the pump.
The priming happens as soon as you put the key in and turn it to "acc" (you may hear a humming sound). Then once you turn it to "start" the injectors and spark plugs start firing.
Another possibility is that the fuel filter was installed backwards.

My 95 blazer 4.3 will not start, it cranks, has

Try replacing the fuel filter, but it sounds like you have a weak fuel pump. Your cold start pressure should be 62-65 psi and drop about 5 psi when the engine is running. Anything less then 62 psi is going to cause you to have starting issues, you can also test your fuel pump by blocking off the return line to see if you get 75-78 PSI. this is just a test to see if your fuel pump is still good. If you have less then that with the return line blocked off, replace your fuel pump but check your ground wire first. The ground wire is separate from the wire harness and grounded to the frame and a bad ground will give you a weak pump.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck
