2005 chevy tahoe open hood when hood release broken

Take a pair of pliers, and pull the cable where handle hooked to it. Helps to have some one push down on hood while you pull cable.

One of two things is possibly wrong, the starter solenoid is bad or the starter has failed. Sounds like you battery is fine.

I need the wiring diagram for the IAT Sensor in my 2005 Chevy Tahoe. I nned it to hook up one of those cheap little "chips" just to see how it works before I spend $ 300 for a Superchip.

Wouldn't you be better to spend $300 on tools ,reference material,
test equipment or a code reader, than that nonsense & possibly
ruin your vehicle & most certainly accomplish nothing

Learn how vehicles work & how to diagnose them & in 20 years
you can play with a race car or something

Where would i find grounding points to chasis on a 2005 chevy tahoe?

Use a test light backward. Hook up the clip to a wire you know is hot (a wire from the positive post on the battery itself works best) and use the probe to test for potential grounds. When it lights up your good. If you hook into a power source you will create a short, and blow a fuse.

Hooked up trailer lights to 2005 chevy tahoe. The only only thing that works now are the electric seats and cigerate lighter.

look for the fusible link box under the hood near the battery. There is a good chance that something shorted one out they look like a giant fuse.

Start by checking all of the fuses and all of the fusible link wires, and you will know a fusible link wire when you find one because they will stretch similar to a rubber band. Fusible link wires are usually located at the fuse/relay junction box in the engine compartment, or at the starter solenoid, or sometimes at the fire-wall. Also check the fuse/relay junction box for any PAL type of fusible links.
