Your model has a timing belt Part cost about $50 depending on the a store. Check it out by looking at TOP DEAD CENTER marks from camshaft and Crankshaft with the position of Piston # 1 at the top while both exhaust and intake valve are closed. When it is bad, timing is out of sequence causing this problem. Good luck.
Check the speed (RPM) sensor located behind the engine center mounted into the transmission bell housing. these do go bad and will cause a no start by not sending a signal to the distributor.
