The cruise control feature in my '03 honda accord stopped working, eventhough the light signaling that the cruise control is on continues to signal that it's on. What could the problem be? I looked in the manual to find where the fuse my be, but I didn't see a fuse for the cruise control.

SOURCE: 88 Honda Accord left front turn signal assembly

*The Turn signal on the Side of the car next to the headlight*
1. Open the retractable headlights.
2. Remove the plastic shroud around the headlight: two screws in front and one on each side.
3. Look to the outside of the headlight and you will see a single screw in a small plastic cover on the front inside edge of the signal light assembly. The headlight prevents you from getting at the screw straight-on. I broke it loose with an offset phillips screwdriver, and then backed it out with a regular phillips.
4. Remove the plastic cover, and you will see two screws. Remove them.
5. Now you can pull the turn signal assembly forward and out.
6. To remove the bulb holders from the assembly, twist counterclockwise and pull out.
7. Pull straight outward to remove the bulbs. To assemble, follow the steps in reverse. Note that there are two plastic rods on the back end of the turn signal assembly that you will insert into two holes in the channel of the fender

*The turn signal in the bumper*
1. You will need a phillips head And Flat head screw driver, right below the turn signal there is a panel that you can pop out, (or its allready gone, Looks like a Fog light can go in there.)
2. once u find that, (Pretty easy to find) Look directly up in there., there is styrofoam up there and u will also notice a little hole,
3. Stick the Phillips head screw driver in that hole and turn it counter clockwize, The screw will not fall out,
4.once it feels like the screw is loose put the flat head in between the turn signal lense and bumper, the side where you unscrewed it and SLOWLY pry it out,
4. once out, just twist the plug and replace light bulb
to replace just reverse instructions

SOURCE: 1996 honda accord no turn signal

Check the wiring in the front and back to lights for shorts to ground, if nothing is found replace the turn signal switch, be careful to disarm the airbag before doing any work on the column as the steering wheel must be pulled to replace the turn switch.

SOURCE: 1997 honda accord turn signals don't work but fuse is fine

There is a flasher unit in the fuse box. You just pull it out and buy a new one at a parts store. Take the old one with you make sure they are the same.

SOURCE: turn signal keep clicking randomly 03 malibu

To diagnose: Does the clicking resume to normal when the turn signal or hazrds on? Then:
Multi function switch is damaged.(seems to be common) This unit consists of the two control arms(turn signals and wiper control) on either side of the steering column. It is easily replaced. Cost, app. 200 from GM or 160 aftermarket. GM product is TRW assembled in Mexico. Aftermarket is made in Taiwan. Firstly:

Disconnect battery.

There are 3 #20 Torx screws under the steering column shroud. Remove them and carefully separate shroud and remove. It takes a bit to worm the shroud around the column tilt lever. I didn't check but you may not even have to remove the lower section.

There is 1 #20 torx screw on top holding the MFS in place. It also has 2 guide pins on the bottom. Remove the screw and disconnect the 3 electrical pin connectors. Now remove and replace with new unit. I did notice the steel pin that operates the horn(it pushes in and out and sits against a rotating plate in front of the steering wheel) was a bit rough so I smoothed it out with a small file. Now put everything back in place.

Anyway, that should take care of the clicking. It worked for me.

My 1996 Honda Civic the. Cruise control won't work nothing will work on ot

The cruise control system on this vehicle uses mechanical, electrical and vacuum operated components to maintain vehicle speeds over 25 MPH. The cruise control unit receives command signals from the cruise control main switch and the set/resume switch. It also receives operating signals form the brake light switch, ignition coil, speed sensor, clutch switch (manual transmission) or shift position switch (automatic transmission). If the main switch's indicator light illuminates when turned on, it's likely working properly. Likewise, if the cruise control light on the instrument cluster illuminates when the set/resume switch is pressed, it is likely OK. At this point the problem would likely be mechanical or vacuum-related rather than electrical and the actuator/servo would be the prime suspect. On the other hand if the cluster indicator light is not illuminating, it could be an electrical issue such as the set switch not registering or one of the safety switches (brake switch, clutch switch or shift position switch) registering inappropriately which effectively cancels the cruise request. 03 Honda Accord v6 left turn signals not working. So I try another flasher relay. Now no turn signals, hazards, or radio/ac lights. ???

It probably blew a fuse.

Flasher unit would not cause one side only to stop working but instead check the switch, wiring, connections and both bulbs.

A little used hazard warning switch is often the cause of strange or unusual flasher behaviour. A couple of minutes of rapid operation often works.

2005 chevy trailblazer - no cruise control and brake lights only work when key is turned off

I would check the turn signal switch. The cruise and turn signal are on the same switch. The brake lights go through the switch before going to the brake lights. And the turn signals don't work with the ignition off.

I have a 92 Accord LX automatic, the speedometer stopped working, I replaced the VSS 2x with known working VSS's with no change, I also replaced the dash cluster gauge and still not working. What would...

Hi, first verify that you have battery voltage on the yellow wire at the sensor when the key is on. Measure across to the black wire to ensure the ground is there as well. The signal leaves the sensor on the blue wire but changes to orange before it reaches the cruise control module, ECM and cluster. I would check continuity of the blue wire to orange wire at the cruise module and cluster. If all that is good, I would pull the sensor off the transmission, jack up the drive wheels, and verify the transmission is turning the shaft that is supposed to turn the sensor coil. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

What fuse is speed control

First, Please review these articles:

Where's The Fuse?

What Else Could Be Wrong?

Then to answer the question you asked...

There are actually three fuses involved in your cruise control system.

> The first is the "Cruise Control, EAT ECU" fuse. it is Fuse #4 in the Underdash Fuse And Relay Box. it is a 7.5 Amp fuse. This fuse also powers the gauge assembly, the alternator control circuit, the Radiator Fan Control Module, the Intake Air Bypass Control Solenoid Valve, The EGR Control Solenoid Valve, The EVAP Canister Bypass Solenoid Valve, the EVAP Canister Vent Control Solenoid and the Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater circuits. If this fuse is blown, the engine will not idle, The alternator will not charge the battery and the transmission will not shift properly. In general, a whole bunch of stuff will not be working.

> Next is the "Backup, Metering Lights, Turn Signals" fuse. It is Fuse #1 in the Underdash Fuse And Relay Box. It is a 10 Amp fuse. As you can tell by the description, your backup lights, dash warning lights and turn signals will also not be working if this fuse is blown.

> Last there is the "Stop Light, Horn" fuse. It is Fuse #30 in the Underhood Fuse And Relay Box located at the right rear of the engine compartment. It is a 20 Amp fuse. As you might guess, your horn and stop lamps will also not be working if this fuse is blown.

Both of these devices require a signal from the VSS (vehicle speed sensor0. I would have that checked. It is on the transmission. I do not know where exactly.
