Depends on what the alarm is - a security or vehicle system? There is no dedicated fuse for the security system in your car and removing the wrong fuse can disable the car.You will need to figure out what is causing it (such as a faulty vibration switch) and fix it. Checking for trouble codes with a code reader may help.

It is most likely going off because the sensor that sets the alarm off when someone bangs it or breaks the window is set to sensitive. Locate the adjustment under the hood near the firewall usually on the alarm module and turn it down.

My citreon berlingo alarm keeps going off every time I turn off the engine, how can I stop this?

Welcome to French car electrics! Nothing is simple on these. Get help from an electrician/tech or remove the alarm fuse. Sorry, but they are a nightmare.

How to disconnect the alarm

Depending if it is a aftermarket or a factory alarm, they should all have fuses that can be removed. By removing the fuse, you may lose your keyless entry option. Most aftermarket alarms have a siren that is usually mounted under the hood in the engine compartment area. I've seen where people have cut the wire going to the siren to disable it but keep the power going to the alarm system to keep the keyless entry still functional if it came with the alarm system.
Factory alarms usually use the existing horn for the alarm. If that is the case, you might need someone who is experienced to disable the circuit so that the horn will not sound if alarm goes off but the horn will still be functional when needed. Hope this helps.

Hi there, The car alarm on my 2007 Camry keeps going off randomly. I don't really want a car alarm. How do you disable it? Thanks, Richard

can you check under hood, there is a fuse box, remove fuse box lid, inside is printed names of circuits if you have an alarm circuit , remove that fuse, then check if car starts and runs, if so, alarm is disabled.

Acura cl alarm problems???

To all you Acura alarm sufferers. In the immediate term to appease your neighbors - open the door and reclose, leaving the door ajar enough that the interior door light is still on. Be sure to turn off the roof light so no one is cued your car door is ajar.
When you can go under the hood, remove the fuse - I think it is 15 - the fuse box cover has a diagram. I left the fuse out for a couple of hours and reinserted it. That broke the pattern for 7 months.
It is 89 degrees in chicago today, the alarm went off at the train station and I got a ticket for noise disturbance.
It's time to look at the fuse box again. i think extreme temps are the problem.

Remove the in-line fuse for the alarm. If the alarm faulted out it is activating the starter kill switch and the lights issue is the alarm trying to flash the lights.
