Hi i had the same problem the viscose fan had lost its oil .also change the thermostat

Rough idling

Change your thermostat,The car is probaly over heating.You keep on driveing it when it does that. You will do serious damage to your engine. Is the check engine light on? Allso any other warniing light. While the car is in operation. Is there guages in the car? If there is keep a eye on your temperture gage if it is going into the hot zone, If it is your vehicle is over heating.

There's no bleeder valve on a 95 maxima how do you get the air out the coolant system. You can hear that bubbling sound in the heater core

park ur car facing uphill with the radiator cap off...gravity will work the air pockets out (with ur motor running) (but take the radiator cap off before it gets hot) that should take care of it. just keep filling it till the air is out.

1990 nissan maxima has no heat after changing thermostat and water pump AC works

make sure system is well bled of air. Open radiator cap and start engine. Run until hot and thermostat is open (coolant flowing in radiator. Keep radiator full and also open any bleeder ports on thermostat housing or in hoses until no air comes out.

you have to bleed the very top hot hose after fitting any hoses to the cooling system,.....in EUrope we have a small bleed valve fitted.
wear rubber gloves and when hot/running undo topmost hot hose clip to vent...

It certainly can cause the condition, but so can TONS of other items: coolant level, bubbles in the coolant (air bleeds), reaiator restrictions.

You could test the thermostat, pull it and put into measured temprature water and observe it as you raise the temprature...

Motor heats up

If the fan is working and water is circulating, it could be losing pressure. Replace the radiator cap or on some vehicles the coolant refill cap. I had this same issue with a Grand AM.

140mph is very fast and will run very hot which will keep your engine cleaner than running slow!
Are there any warning lights coming on?
If not don't worry you have to slow down sooner or later.
Just keep it well maintained!

Hey iisha, although obvious, 1st thing to check is the coolant level. If it's low, the engine will run hot and the low level prevents coolant from circulating to the heater core inside the car, so the result is little or no heat, but engine running hot situation. The top rad. hose takes hot coolant from the engine, it flows down thru the radiator where it is cooled (w/ help from the fan) and the coolant returns to the engine at a reduced temp. to keep the temp under control, and it's returned thru the bottom hose (the result is the bottom hose should be cooler thant the top. There's more involved than that, so 1st check your coolant level, if it's ok let me know I'll help further. Hopefully the fix is that simple, and it is a rather common problem.
