Right side under front park plug wires at curv
you might have a plastic cover to remove first
the EGR is located on the end of the head on transmishion side
has plug on top and 2 nuts holding it on

If they checked and that is your problem don't clean it change it pay once now and you will not have to pay to clean it and after 2-4 months you will need a new one.

Sometimes you can remove them and clean the carbon build up off of them and lubricate it before you reinstall it. Make sure you can find a new gasket before you take it off. Usually you ruin the gasket removing the EGR. Good luck. Please rate me so I know how I'm doing. Thanks.

Good news, the EGR valve for the 97 Acura was recalled. If your car is under 150,00 miles you should be eligible to get it fixed for free. I had the same problem with my 97 Acura CL 3.0. After changing the EGR valve, I found out that the vavle itself was not the problem, but rather a blocked intake manifold. Talk your local Acura dealer.
