Could be the hose that goes to the PVC valve.Where it connects may have broke off,happened to my 2004 Lincoln LS,but mine is the 3.0 engine,I bought a new hose from Ebay was 50 bucks,didn't have power.PVC valve is behind engine,hose in front of engine goes to it.
Take off the inner fender well lining on the front driver side of the car. The fuel filter sits by where your left foot would be if you were sitting in the car but in the fender well.

The fuel Filter on the Lincoln LS Is located Inside of the Left front

You will need to remove the Left front tire.
Remove the Plastic guard of the Fender. at your right side you will see
The fuel Filter..

THE FUEL FILTER FOR THE LINCOLN LS IS LOCATED BEHIND THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT WHEEL WELL..... YOU MUST REMOVE THE FRONT DRIVERS TIRE THEN REMOVE THE PLASTIC PIECE ON YOUR RIGHT HAND SIDE.... THE FUEL FILTER IS REAL EASY TO REMOVE JUST TAKE SOME PLIERS AND PUSH IN THE GREEN TAB AND POP OFF.. TO INSTALL JUST TAKE THE FUE LINE PUSH IT IN TILL YOU HEAR A SNAP AND WALAH!
