My 1996 Dodge Neon overheats within 5 minutes of being started. I'm thinking it could be the Thermostat because I still have a full thing of Engine Coolant, Like it hasn't been used yet. I'm hoping I did not blow a head gasket out or anything else serious. If you have a solution, Please tell me.

My 2004 Dodge Neon is overheating

you might have air in the cooling system, or water pump might not be functioning right, I would try burping the system first too see. with the car off and cooled down pull the radiator cap off and start the car, let it run for about 30 minutes should force all air out of the system, keep a eye on the coolant level while doing this.

1997 dodge neon is running hot

What is the mileage? Check the reservoir for coolant, when the engine is COLD,... I repeat COLD, check the radiator for fluid. If fluid is present, check to see if your fans are working properly, turn your AC on and your fans in front of your motor should kick in within minutes.

If you have coolant in the reservoir and radiator (suspect a new thermostat, replacing the radiator will benefit greatly too)

If your fans do not turn on within minutes, replace your radiator fan relay.

96 dodge neon alternator and starter syop working

one thing to check is the positive and negative battery post's. check for any corrsion and even do a voltage test to the starter. check the grounds. The battery might be bad have you tryed to jump it? The battery light comes on when their is a dop in voltage in the sys.
